Is your mind already made up and all you can do is give your opinion without fact!
You have had your victory and you have had “change”.
Can you find a place in your reasoning to say that “G.W. Bush was not the source of all the evils that beset the present administration”.
Can you, at least, have a two way discussion of sources for these facts?
They say that having a stable home life and a reasonably good education can make you eligible for the jobs that may come. That literally means that there are no drugs or little alcohol in the house. It also means that waiting for sex is a good idea. To love your child no matter what he/she does is NOT such a grand idea! If he/she is a murderer, a rapist, a robber, a seller of dope; to reinforce this conduct cannot be easily defended.
A good education cannot be easily achieved. Who’s going to be their teacher? Is their reasonable conduct in the school? Are the parents involved?
Is reason and logic taught? How can the student be involved with more mature workmen? Does “conflict resolution” have to be approached before the worker enters the new workplace? Is this student ready to enter the new job market?
Before any decent discussions can be had the student has to be “trained”. School has to mean something! The parent(s) must be taught that school means something! “No parents” means “no schooling”. How to get parents into the school setting remains an issue.
More money for schools hasn’t worked. Smaller class size hasn’t worked. Well, here’s an important question. Here is something worthwhile to discuss.
Jobs, jobs, that’s what’s on everyone’s mind. Who’s to work this new opportunity?
What is the “National Interest”? What is “National Security”? Here are other topics for worthwhile discussions. Not Tiger, or Brittany but worthwhile discussions. Is the Nations’ security threatened by Iraq or Afghanistan? Why not Pakistan, Syria or North Korea?
The Nation needs discussion ... meaningful, worthwhile discussions. Without education in “reason and logic”, without “training” in “conflict resolution”, this nation can no longer rest on their locally elected representatives. We do indeed need “change”! This time, the author hopes, that “change” will mean something!
Without the training in schools from where do the discussions come? Even the adults need the same training in “logic and reason”!
How come some adults need the “search for the more successful alternative”; and instead of adding to the din of rhetoric; they are willing to discuss rather than merely add to the noise?
The media is expert at stressing the latest topics of infidelity, drugs, and scam artists. How come we can’t get more of America interested in what’s really important...The dollar Media has!
To be polite…..To take a closer look at your appearance….To resolve conflict by words rather than by actions ….To treat a fellow employee with respect…. Where do you learn these things? This is what determines who gets the jobs!
