Limited in Education? - The “Not So Limited”, the “Severely Limited”, and the “Radically Limited”
The “Good”, the “Bad”, and the “Ugly’!
It says the same thing!
No one likes to be called the “Radically Limited”!
But the difference between the “Radically Limited” and the “Severely Limited” is the amount of education that is “absorbed” by an individual.
(Notice: The author included the word “absorbed by ” on purpose!)
Not every formal education is the same. But the “amount absorbed” can be the same. The ability to use and understand the English language can make a lifelong difference. To look for a “successful alternative”, to “settle a dispute” (other than by physical force), to “debate” an issue requires variation in the “amount of absorption” of the English language by an individual.
(For instance: Answering a telephone by a “grunt” is one way. Another way, is to state your name, followed by “How can I help you?”)
This is a matter of “absorption”.
Most employers haven’t the time or the patience to teach people the basics, or the amount of “absorption” they should already know.
The “Radically Limited” may not appreciate this. How, then, can it be discovered what “change” really meant? How can anything be debated rather than end up in an exchange of personal opinions stated as fact?.......
(This is a beginning of an argument rather than a debate. Who wants another argument?)
The “Severely Limited” are even less educated than the “Not so Limited”. It is the amount and degree of the individual’s “absorption”. To attempt a “debate” in either case is a waste of time!
The ability of what the student can gain from his association to school is not explained, yet it has a lasting effect on his employment success.
Also, the “Radically Limited” is in the majority. No wonder that we have a voting record that is so negative. The Independent voter is the swing vote that determines the election result. Since the “Severely Restricted” and the “Not so Limited” suffer from the same lack of practice using the English language to express themselves in a debate form, one notes the lack of debates on the media.
One can only assume the lack of “absorption” in the education of most everyone.
The individual wants to know which category he’s in. (as though that will make a difference!)
The individual already knows but doesn’t do anything to fix it!
The individual drops out of formal education!....(His parents don’t do anything about it!)
The individual joins gangs as a substitute; won’t speak the English language; and all in all, won’t help himself! (There is NO substitute!)
